Volunteers of all ages are needed for the annual Earth Day Cleanup to be held April 23 at four Ramsey County parks. The primary focus of the event is trash pickup and removal to help beautify the parks in preparation for the busy spring and summer seasons. Ramsey County Parks & Recreation is seeking 300-400 volunteers to assist with the cleanup.
Volunteers are most needed at Battle Creek Regional Park, a 780-acre park located in Saint Paul and Maplewood. (Volunteers also needed for City Parks - https://www.stpaul.gov/news/register-now-citywide-cleanup-april-23)
Locations
  • Battle Creek Regional Park
75 South Winthrop St. Saint Paul, MN 55119
All events begin at 9 a.m.
Individuals and groups are welcome. Advanced registration is requested to help predict turnout. Please fill out the registration form online if you would like to volunteer at Battle Creek, Keller or Bald Eagle-Otter Lake Regional Parks.

Cleanup day events are held rain, shine or snow. Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and wear long pants, work gloves, a light jacket and closed-toe shoes or boots. Trash bags will be provided for volunteers at all locations.
In 2015, 200 volunteers invested 600 hours into improving the beauty and safety of the Ramsey County parks system during the Earth Day Cleanup.
