D1 Meeting - MN District 67 Candidate Forum

In partnership with the League of Women Voters and Merrick Community Services, we held a candidate forum for MN Legislative District 67 at the Harding HS Learning Hub on 6th Street Monday, October 24. This very informative and civil forum included the following candidates - Sen. Foung Hawj, Rep. Sheldon Johnson and Joseph Wederka, and Rep. Tim Mahoney and Andrew Livingston. All candidates were invited to attend but some had previous commitments. The questions were quite varied - from positions on transit to job development, from environmental situations in Greater Minnesota to voting rights throughout the state. Saint Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN - channel 19) filmed the forum and will be broadcasting it between now and the election. Here is a link to the broadcast.

​In addition to this forum, the D1 Board appointed Abduba Halake to a vacant seat and approved our new mission, vision and values statements.
