Youth Projects in 2019:
oin the Youth Organizers program!
The Southeast Community Organization is seeking youth from the Conway, Battle Creek, Highwood or Eastview neighborhoods to join us in making a difference. Youth Organizers will work together to identify an important issue and take action regarding that issue. Concerned about immigration rights? Collaborate to create a series of podcasts to discuss the issue. Gun Violence? Hold an open mic night and invite teens to speak their truth. YOU DECIDE.
Youth Organizers will:
Learn about how the City of St. Paul government operates
Learn how organizers break down an issue
Identify an important issue to tackle with your peers
Hear about the history of Youth As Organizers – and the huge difference young people make
Talk to other youth to find out what THEY think
Share what they have learned through an action of their choice
