Please accept this letter as my request to be considered for the Graphic Designer position.

Having studied Graphic Design and Pre-media, my career goal is to find a position that best utilizes my education, natural people-oriented skills, and passion for creativity. This current opening is what I have been striving for since graduation, and my previous experience in Production, or Layout Design at Periscope makes me the ideal candidate for this position. Since moving on to Wunderman, I have enhanced my skill set as a Graphic Designer, as well as branched outside of my comfort level to learn a new program and help with leading a team in the Digital Weekly Ad. My current and past duties align seamlessly with the responsibilities listed. I have experience with almost every Adobe program, efficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, as well as a background with Microsoft, and Quark.

I have experienced all aspects of Production, as a Page Assembler, Retoucher, and Imaging expert. I have also had some Graphic Design experience on the digital side as well. I have worked beside some of the best creative minds in the business, and soaked up all the knowledge that seven years of experience can give. Starting on the print side of design, I got to learn the difference in color modes and an understanding of limits of a printer press compared to designing for web.

My previous experience has also helped me to enhance professional knowledge and abilities that I believe are in line with the Graphic Designer position, and my career goals. I can accurately perform multiple challenging tasks with precision and attention to detail while also keeping the integrity of the larger picture. I am an exceptional problem solver and can master new tasks very quickly. I have good experience working with a diverse customer group and am adept at working both independently and in teams. I take direction very well and have an unyielding passion for contributing to the success and growth of the people and organizations that I work with. Most importantly, however, I take pride in my place of employment, and strive to make the company as successful as I try to become.
My strong initiative, exceptional communication skills and previous experience I believe could make a substantial contribution to your team.
