As a note for thinking about what you take to the organics recycling area (in District 1, this is on Winthrop at the Compost Site - Winthrop and Londin Lane...) here are some tips from Ramsey County Environmental Services....Freezer and refrigerator boxes are not accepted for organics collection. These boxes generally contain coatings and/or plastic liners, which prevent them from fully breaking down during the composting process. Check with your recycling hauler about acceptance with curbside recycling. You should put freezer boxes in your trash bin and refrigerated boxes in your recycling bin. Questions?
