MnDOT is using innovative technology to keep you moving during constructionConstruction crews are working hard to complete road resurfacing on I-94 between St. Paul and Maplewood. If you frequently travel through this area, you may have wondered: Are there more lanes on this side of the road compared to earlier today? Or, what is that large, yellow machine that travels down the center of the road each afternoon? Read on for the answers.
Meet the Moveable BarrierMnDOT is using an innovative tool called a moveable barrier to help reduce congestion and keep you moving during construction. The moveable barrier adds a lane when and where it’s most needed.

Watch this short video to see how the moveable barrier works.

Then, take a few minutes to share the video with family and friends or anyone else you know who travels in the area.
