The re-opening of the northbound Hwy 61 to eastbound I-94 ramp scheduled for Tues, Aug. 8 at 5 a.m. has been delayed until next Mon, Aug. 14. We are not ready to reopen this ramp, therefore, we will also delay the closure of the Mounds Blvd. to eastbound I-94 ramp until Mon, Aug. 14.
We apologize for any inconveniences these delays may cause. Reminder: Temporary overnight eastbound I-94 lane closure begins tonight Beginning 9 p.m. tonight through 5 a.m. tomorrow morning (Tue, Aug. 8) the right lane (local access lane) and all entrance/exit ramps on eastbound I-94 between Mounds Blvd. and Hwy 120/Century Ave. will close to allow construction crews to move some eastbound traffic to the newly-paved eastbound lanes closest to the permanent center median. This approach is safer for both drivers and our crews and accelerates the completion of the traffic switch. Visit the project website for all current and upcoming traffic impacts. Closure durations and time frames are all approximate and weather dependent.
