Community Plan Public Hearing

3/28/2016

Our 10 year community plan draft will go before the Planning Commission on Friday April 1 for a public hearing. This plan has been at least 4 years in the works and represents countless hours of interactions and discussions with community members about their vision for the future. We will use the plan, once it is approved by the City, to support requests for investments in our area around topics of how the land is used or developed, transportation, housing, our parks, and our natural resources. The plan becomes an official part of the City's Comprehensive Plan, which they use to make their decisions. It guides our Land Use Committee, in particular, as it makes recommendations. The plan looks at where we have been, but also where we are headed, as a community. It is a statement to the City about who we will become over the next 10 years, and is based on the diverse voices we have heard during the planning period.

The Planning Commission Hearing starts at 8:30am and takes place in conference room 40 in the basement of City Hall, 15 W. Kellogg Blvd.
