Board Member Elections & Annual MeetingHave you considered becoming a part of the SoutEast Community Organization (SECO)/District 1 board? Now's the time!  We need people like YOU to make a positive difference in our community.  The SECO Board works to make the neighborhood a better place! We talk to the City and County, to neighbors, hold public events and forums, and work with small businesses. We network with community partners of all kinds. [Learn more about the Board]

We are accepting nominations for seven of our board positions between now and Wednesday April 23rd.  If you are interested just fill out the Online Form and get your name on the ballot!  After that comes the election (April 24-28) and then the announcement of the new Board Members at our Annual Meeting on Monday, April 28.

Here is the election timeline:

• Start accepting nominations Wednesday, April 9
• Close nominations Wednesday, April 23
• Election online  Thursday, April 24 through Monday, April 28 at noon.
• Election in person Sunday, April 27 from 1 to 4 at the SECO office
• Election in person Monday, April 28 from 4 to 6 at the SECO office (day of the Annual meeting)
• Annual meeting Monday, April 28-starting at 6 pm.  We will finish counting ballots and announce election results! Held at the SECO office in the NW corner of Sunray Shopping Center.

Qualifications include: 
Must be at least 16 years old and reside, go to school or work in the district. [See Boundaries] Must commit to attending and participating in 7 of the 10 meetings (held the 4th Monday of the month) and assisting with projects.
