3rd Street Tear Up and Rebuild

Just heard from the City of Saint Paul that they expect the rebuild of 3rd Street to start by August 1. They will tear up the street in sections and rebuild as they go. There will be detours posted as things progress. But, as you know if you have been dealing with the White Bear Avenue rebuild, there are always unexpected consequences when these projects get underway.

Please bear in mind as you follow detours that you are traveling through neighborhoods that are not used to seeing the level of traffic that a 3rd Street or White Bear Avenue routinely take. Slow down. Watch for pedestrians. Be patient in trying to get where you are going.
